“There she is!” Gilbert called out excitedly. Antonio and Francis looked up expectantly.
“Where?” Antonio said confused. Gilbert then turned around and looked at him annoyed.
“Zere!” he said pointing. Francis raised his eyebrows, Antonio even more confused.
“I really don’t see anything, Gil.” Francis replied.
Gilbert whipped his head back and then groaned in annoyance, throwing his hands up.
You, the subject, had disappeared from view.
You sighed inwardly as you walked back to your small office. You rarely spent time outside, despite you were at school. People expected you to be popular and hang out around the school.
You couldn’t do it anyway if you tried. Family would disapprove, and people would abandon you anyway.
Another funny thing was, you were the top student at the school and you rarely attended classes.
How was all this possible?
One part to it was because you were the Student President. Some people even gossiped that you were the Vice-Principal, just younger. Rumours were bound to go around since you weren’t there.
You were also known as the Ice Queen.
You walked up the empty staircases and passed chattering and noisy classes without grabbing any attention. You finally reached your destination.
You silently opened the door to see a teacher smile and give you some papers.
“I really don’t want to do this to you [NAME], but the Cheerleaders requested--”
“Please put it on the side [FEMALE TEACHER NAME].” You replied, cutting her off.
[FEMALE TEACHER NAME] sighed with a small smile on her face. “You’ve got to get rid of that cold personality. I really think you should attend your classes and socialize a little.”
“I have too many things to handle. Besides, I study and attend a few after-school classes.” You said, sitting at the desk and sorting out papers without looking up.
[FEMALE TEACHER NAME] sighed and threw her hands in the air. “Exactly my point [NAME]! You don’t socialize and you don’t even accept most of the requests that some students ask! Be reasonable, Alfred Jones put in a request to hold a Band Show in the grounds, and he even acted like a perfect student and promised he would take full responsibility for it! What do you do [NAME], you simply decline and toss it away!”
You continued to sort out papers and write on them, without looking up.
“Then afterwards, students would think they had a chance to do more rubbish.”
[FEMALE TEACHER NAME] huffed. “Of course you’d expect that! But these students need to socialize more, and the only functions and projects you’ll allow are the ones that support some fund or country! You need to let the students be! YOU YOURSELF NEED TO BE A STUDENT!”
Something cracked inside you. You looked up slowly. “But I am a student.”
